Shy Guy (from Mario) - A failed story

Here is the little shy guy I made for my team (as a trophy for whoever wins a certain race), and I realized after it was done that it looked more like a cross between shy guy and no-face from Spirited Away...
I rushed it and didn't have time to make another one with the needed adjustments yet, but hopefully I'll get the time to fix the pattern later!

You can find the pattern below:

Requirements:
  • Crochet Hook C (2,75mm)
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Red, white, black, brown, purple (or blue), yellow fine yarn
  • Stuffing
I used purple for the shoes, since the bonbons of yarn I got didn’t have a dark blue.

Abbreviations / Terminology used:
  • ch: chain
  • st: stitch
  • sc: single crochet
  • dc: double crochet
  • ss: slip stitch
  • 2 sc in next st (increase)
  • 2 sctog: 2 single crochet together (decrease)

Arms (x2) – Red:
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
Round 2: *1 sc, 2 sc in next st* repeat around (9)
Rounds 3-5: sc around (9)
Finish off leaving tail for sewing.

Face – White:
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
Round 2: *2 sc in next st* repeat around (12)
Round 3: *1 sc, 2 sc in next st* repeat around (18)
Finish off leaving tail for sewing.

Eyes (x2) – Black:
6 sc in magic ring (6)
Finish off leaving tail for sewing.

Saw eyes on the face, and add the mouth with a little bit of yarn.

 Head/Body:
Start with Red
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
Round 22 sc in first st, 5 sc around (7)
Round 3: 2 sc in first st, 6 sc around (8)
Rounds 4-14: sc around (8)
Round 15: *1 sc, 2 sc in next st* repeat around (12)
Round 16: *1 sc, 2 sc in next st* repeat (18)
Rounds 17-24: sc around (18)
Add the arms, and bend the top of the head to form the beanie fold, attach it with some yarn so it holds! Also attach the head. With Brown, make a chain to go around the head).
Change to Brown (for the belt)
Rounds 25-26: sc around (18)
Back to Red
Rounds 27-28: sc around (18)
Round 29: *1 dc, 2 dc in next st* repeat around (27 dc)
Embroider the belt buckle with Yellow.
Close and finish off.

Feet (x2):
Start with Brown
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
Round 2: *2 sc in next st* repeat around (12)
Change to purple
Round 3: 6 sc, 2sctog in next 6 st (9)
Rounds 4-5: sc around (9)
First foot: finish off.
Second foot:
Round 6: join the feet together with sc around (16)

Attach the body to the feet and voilĂ !

Note for later:
I'll probably try to make one with a hood that can be removed. The head will then be a simple black ball, this way the mask can have holes for the eyes/mouth. I think it'll make it look better, instead of having those eyes poking out likes glasses :(
